	PMI® Houston Chapter, founded in 1974 and first to receive a charter from the Project Management Institute PMI.org international organization, recently celebrated our 35th anniversary of Excellence in Project Management. PMI Houston Chapter is home to one of the best professional organizations for established project managers as well as those just beginning their journey into the project management discipline. The PMI Houston Chapter is a member of PMI Region 6 which is made up of other chapters throughout Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Louisiana. True to the Texas spirit, the Houston chapter strives to be the biggest and best of its kind in the country, and has a rich tradition of service and leadership: Two-time National Meeting and Seminar/ Symposium host, each time setting attendance records Two of the five PMI® Founders were Houston chapter members Five chapter members have served as PMI® Board President / Chairman Consistently ranked as one of PMI's® largest chapters The Houston chapter is one of the largest PMI chapters in the world with over 3000 members from all industries including Engineering and Construction, Industrial, Information Systems, Oil and Gas, Healthcare, Education, Telecommunications, Government, Marketing and Advertising, and Service / Support sectors. Meetings are held at several locations in the Houston metropolitan area for the convenience of our membership.
