“Collaboration Insights – Methodologies to Improve Project Team Performance”

Abstract

Leading Edge Collaboration specializes in helping teams identify and manage business opportunities and values. After twelve years and more than one hundred-thirty workshops worldwide, a meaningful and effective approach has been developed that energizes a project team to develop a clear enterprise plan. The presentation will provide insights into the tools used and the endearing stories captured.

Both industry literature and numerous wise sayings suggest that proactive business planning efforts significantly improve the chances of success. Early insights and sensible approaches can drive a team’s effectiveness to achieve company goals. There is a natural, early engagement that defines the team’s charter and provides pertinent business guidance. Without a rigorous, multi-discipline front-end dialogue, a project team recycles their efforts, loses momentum and allows value leakage due to ambiguity and uncertainty. This crafted front-end event effectively identifies and engages the requisite work areas, fosters an integrated team understanding about the opportunities and provides a basis to manage expectations, responsibilities and interfaces.

Speaker Bio

Charles W. Jennings A.V.S. has over 37 years experience in upstream oil and gas production activities. He has worked in subsurface, well completions, Subsea design, production operations, and has lead project teams in Trinidad, Norway, Egypt, United Kingdom and the United States. He holds a BSME and MSME from Louisiana Tech University. He was an Appraise (FEL) Advisor with BP and supported Major Capital investment teams worldwide using front-end appraisal methodologies, value engineering, decision analyses and project management techniques. He is currently a Director in Pinnacle Results LLC and a Partner in Leading Edge Collaboration.
