All aboard – Setting Sail with a Full Ship
Often we think of communication as being a one-way street – transmitting information from point A to point B. Today’s business world calls for influencing action through engaging employees and stakeholders up, down, across and outside your organization.

Gaining stakeholder buy-in at the beginning of your project pays huge dividends along the way.  Your stakeholders want to know where you are going, how you plan to get there and what is the impact along the way.  How you address these three fundamental questions has everything to do with how you are perceived as a leader and whether you succeed or not.

    Master The Matrix
Wouldn’t it be great if your success depended upon meeting the needs of only one primary stakeholder?  In today’s complex environment, you must meet the needs of many to deliver successful projects.  Today’s matrix environment requires you to ignore traditional linear management structures and boldly navigate the enterprise to achieve results.

This seminar provides a road map for how to successfully navigate any matrix environment.

Conquer the interface challenges by knowing:

    •    The basics:  How organizational structures have evolved over time
    •    What works:  The advantages and disadvantages of  matrix organizations
    •    How to employ the Three C’s:  Communication, Commitment and Cooperation
    •    When and how to “push back” to get ahead

This highly-interactive session includes small group activities, interactive discussions, case studies, self-assessments and pragmatic approaches to achieving results.

    Rick Gillis

Since then Rick has spoken before thousands and successfully counseled who-knows-how-many individuals in their quest for new employment.

Job! 3 Steps to Your Next

This is the workshop for those who are currently seeking employment; are considering seeking new employment  as well as anyone currently employed who wants to learn how to “secure their career”  and keep their options open—now and into the future. Fundamentally, Rick Gillis will teach you how to speak to and present the value you bring to an organization. Bottom line? Rick will teach you how to compete!
“Job search is the highest form of competition.”

Based on his new book of the same title, Rick will be taking attendees through the process of taking a professional and personal inventory for the purpose of preparing for all employment eventualities. This exercise is in line with the use and creation of Rick’s Accomplishments-Based resume format designed to make the hiring professional “like you” as well as successfully navigate the obstacle of resume filtering software used by virtually all major employers today.

For the first time Rick will be directing a mini Accomplishments Workshop within the day-long presentation. This is the same “mandatory” exercise that Rick provides to his individual clients.

In this day-long workshop you will learn how to:
    •    Write the most powerful resume yet known
    •    Sell yourself to a potential employer—even if you are not a salesperson
    •    Create a professional and personal achievements inventory
    •    Master the software that is the job search ‘black hole’
    •    Master the job search social media that matters
    •    Minimize age-discrimination issues
    •    Gain job search confidence
    •    Conduct deep research on target companies
    •    Ace the interview—salary negotiation included
    •    Follow up to the interview
    •     “Secure Your Career”
    •    Prepare yourself to compete at the highest level
